Reviews and Ratings
The resort offers stunning views of Lake Hamilton, with clean and spacious accommodations that provide comfort during the stay. However, there are some drawbacks like out-of-date furnishings and limited dining options. It's a decent getaway, but some updates are definitely needed.
SunBay Resort offers a nice mix of comfort and convenience, situated ideally near Lake Hamilton and local attractions. The units are clean and spacious, though showing signs of age, and the friendly staff truly enhance the stay. While the pool area is well-maintained and enjoyable, the property has some outdated features that might not appeal to those seeking modern accommodations. Overall, I felt I got good value for the price, especially with the kitchen amenities and on-site dining options.
Our mini getaway to Hot Springs was enjoyable overall, but the stay at the resort was just okay. While the grounds are beautifully maintained and the views of the lake are stunning, the accommodations in the lodge area were dated and in need of serious upgrades. The peaceful setting was a plus, but the outdated facilities and uncomfortable bedding made the experience less than ideal.
Our stay at SunBay Resort was quite an experience. The views of Lake Hamilton were truly breathtaking, and the staff, especially Sheila and Teresa, were incredibly helpful. However, we faced some significant issues with cleanliness and maintenance, particularly due to the mold in our room and the lack of staff presence at night. Overall, while the location and friendly service were highlights, the resort's management needs to address important concerns regarding room conditions.
Our stay at SunBay was a mixed bag. The resort is centrally located in Hot Springs with lots of nearby dining options, and our unit had a lovely view of the lake. However, the rooms felt dated and there were some uncomfortable amenities, particularly with the lack of air conditioning in the smaller bedroom. Overall, it's a decent spot for a getaway, but some upgrades are certainly needed.
